The largest COD Mobile esports event of the year, the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship, will be hosted by the Snapdragon Pro Series at DreamHack Atlanta.
ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) and Activision are teaming up for one of the largest collaborations since Call of Duty: Mobile became a part of the Snapdragon Pro Series Powered By Samsung Galaxy.
Activision's Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship, operated by the Snapdragon Pro Series Powered by Samsung Galaxy, will be hosted at DreamHack Atlanta between December 15-17, 2023.
The tournament will feature 16 of the world's best Call of Duty: Mobile esports teams who have been brought together from all six Snapdragon Pro Series regions. Through rounds of heated battles, they will compete for a share of the USD $1 million prize pool and the title of World Champion.
Sam Braithwaite, Vice President of Game Ecosystems, Mobile, at ESL FACEIT Group, commented on the announcement:
The Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship is the pinnacle of the 2023 competitive year, and we’re excited to bring it to fans live at DreamHack Atlanta. Together with Activision, the Snapdragon Pro Series is building pipelines where the phones in players’ pockets are their tickets to competing on the biggest stages in mobile esports.
Participating squads have earned their spots after competing through four stages of competition in the Call of Duty: Mobile and the Snapdragon Pro Series' esports ecosystem, or through sanctioned third-party circuits.
Activision's Head of Call of Duty: Mobile, Jeff Gullett, commented:
Live tournaments are the cornerstone of esports, and we’re looking forward to bringing the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship to fans live at DreamHack Atlanta. This is a critical moment for some of the world’s best squads, and we’re excited to be able to showcase the peak of mobile competition to a diverse audience of diehard mobile fans and casual festival attendees.
