There are many different types of currencies in Boom Beach: Frontlines. Let's take a look at all of them and see what they do!
Boom Beach: Frontlines is a new free-to-play mobile game based on Supercell's incredibly popular Boom Beach game. It will take a leap and redefine the team shooter genre by expanding the usual 5v5 format to a whopping 9v9. There will be much to reminisce about from its predecessor such as the characters, designs, and even map layouts.
However, Boom Beach: Frontlines will introduce new in-game currencies that greatly differ from the natural-resource-based currencies found in Boom Beach. These currencies can be slightly difficult to navigate as the game is a new release and there is still much to learn. So let's take a look at these new currencies and what they can do!
Boom Beach: Frontlines In-Game Currencies
Eleven in-game currencies can be earned in Boom Beach: Frontlines. These are Gems, Coins, Experience, Munitions, Medals, Stars, Ancient Coins, Common Wild Card, Rare Wild Card, Epic Wild Card, and Elderwood.
Here they are:
| Currency Icon | Currency Name | Description |
| Gems | Gems can be used to get Coins and premium Chests at the in-game shop. They can also be purchased from the in-game store. |
| Coins | Coins can be earned from Boxes and Missions. Cards can be upgraded with Coins. |
| Experience | Experience can be earned during battles. These can be used to unlock new islands. |
| Munitions | Munitions can be earned in battle from various sources. They can be used to purchase new defenses, vehicles, and power-ups. |
 | Medals | Medals can be earned or lost depending on the outcome of your battles. Earning medals can help you progress to higher leagues. |
| Stars | Stars can be earned during battles. They can help you unlock Chests and Boom Pass rewards. Your Star Pool has 200/200 Stars which depletes in number as you earn Stars. Your Star Pool will refresh with four new Stars every hour. |
| Ancient Coin | Ancient Coins will add to the upgrade progress of any card. They are rare but can be obtained from Boxes and the Beach Pass reward track. |
| Common Wild Card | Common Wild Cards can be used to add progress to any Common card upgrade. They can be obtained from Boxes and the Beach Pass reward track. |
| Rare Wild Card | Rare Wild Cards can be used to add progress to any Rare card upgrade. They can be obtained from Boxes and the Beach Pass reward track. |
| Epic Wild Card | Epic Wild Cards can be used to add progress to any Epic card upgrade. They can be obtained from Boxes and the Beach Pass reward track. |
| Elderwood | Elderwood can be used to upgrade buildings on your island. These can be found while exploring islands. |
Boom Beach: Frontlines is available for download on both Android and iOS devices. However, only twenty countries have been included in the game's soft launch. So be sure to check if your country has been included in that list!
