If you want to change your Keeper Name in Peridot, you are at the right place. In Peridot, Keepers's name is your alias by which players know you in the game. Whenever someone checks your profile, they will find your Keeper Name, current active Dot, and many other details.

We all have been in situations where we used a random name to get started with the game quickly and later wished we had a different IGN (In-game name). The same is true for many Peridot players, who chose a random Keeper Name and now want to change it to something better.

To help such players out, we are here with a handy guide on how to change your Keeper Name in Peridot.

Since Peridot's Keeper Name is linked to your Niantic ID, you can change it by logging into your Niantic account and changing the Niantic ID on the 'Edit Profile' page.

Here are the steps that you must follow to change your Keeper Name in Peridot:

  1. Go to Niantic's account login page.
  2. Select your Sign In option and log in to your Niantic account.
  3. Once that is done, you will find yourself on the Niantic Profile page.
  4. There, click on the cog-like icon to open Settings.
  5. Click on Edit Profile from the side menu.
  6. Change your Niantic ID.
  7. Click on the 'Save' button.

Restart Peridot and your new Keeper's Name will be reflected in the game. Remember, you cannot keep different names in Peridot and Pokemon Go. Since both are linked to your Niantic ID, changing it will get reflected in both games unless you use a Guest Account.
