Following the footsteps of many cozy simulation games, Disney Dreamlight Valley features an intricate Cooking system, which is one of the staple features of the game, where players can make around 190 unique Meals to complete their Dreamlight Duties, sell them to earn Star Coins, give them to Villagers to increases Friendship Level, to increase player level and more.

How To Get Your Own Cooking Stove
In Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can get your own Cooking Stove by completing Mickey's quest, "Foodception," which introduces players to Cooking.
Once you complete the said quest, you will get a White Gas Stove that you can place inside your house to have your own cooking station to make meals whenever you want.
How To Unlock Cooking
Many players think that the Cooking feature in Disney Dreamlight Valley is locked behind the Foodception quest.
But in actuality, you can unlock Cooking right when you get access to Peaceful Meadows, as you can find a Cooking Stove inside Goofy's house.
So either complete the Foodception quest or simply head inside Goofy's house to start your cooking journey.
How To Make Meals
To make meals in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you must interact with the Cooking Station to open the Cooking menu, where you will find all of your ingredients.
In the cooking screen, drag and drop the ingredients as per the meal's recipe and once done adding, click on the 'Start Cooking' button.
Doing so will consume one Coal that you can find by mining the Black Rocks around the starting area and other locations and by digging the ground using the Shovel.
After that, you will move to the meal screen, where you can find basic details on it, including its rarity, name, and items used to make it.
How To Unlock New Recipes
Except for a few, almost every recipe in the game is unlocked by the hit-and-trial method. You add ingredients and keep cooking.
Once you get a unique dish, its recipe will be unlocked, and you can access it via the 'Recipe' section of the Cooking menu and in the 'Meals' section of the 'Collections' tab.
Note: Some of the recipes in the game are locked behind Friendship and Main Story quest progression.
