Marvel Snap January Patch Notes: Drax And Groot Buffed, Aero and Galactus Nerfed

After a delay, the January patch has landed in Marvel Snap. Here are all the buffs and nerfs.

After a short delay, the January update for Marvel Snap is here, featuring various buffs and nerfs to some of the game's cards.

That's not all, though, as it is time to start putting respect where it's due, with a new feature being added that allows you to see the artists behind the game's stunning cards.

There are also several quality-of-life changes and bug fixes, including new sound and visual effects for the Aero and Polaris cards.

But it's the balance changes that really interest us, so if you are keen to know all the buffs and nerfs and changes to locations, you can check them out below.

Marvel Snap January Patch - Balance Changes

The Marvel Snap January update contains balance changes for nine cards in total.

Let's start with the buffs.

Buffs

Five cards are being buffed.

Drax

  • On Reveal: If your opponent played a card here this turn, +4 Power. -> 4/5 On Reveal: If your opponent played a card here this turn, +3 Power.

Groot

  • On Reveal: If your opponent played a card here this turn, +3 Power. -> 3/4 On Reveal: If your opponent played a card here this turn, +2 Power.

Hazmat

  • Card power increase: 2/1 to 2/2

Black Cat

  • Card power increase: 3/6 to 3/7

Nakia

  • Card power increase: 3/1 to 3/2

Nerfs

Four cards are in getting nerfed.

Aero

  • Card power decrease: 5/8 to 5/7

Galactus

  • Card power decrease: 6/3 to 6/2

Leader

Card power decrease: 6/4 to 6/3

Nova

Card power decrease: 1/2 to 1/1

Location Updates

Four locations are being tweaked.

Oscorp Tower

  • Will no longer swap card sides if Professor X is there

Warrior Falls

  • Will appear less often

Raft and Vibranium Mines

  • Text-only updates
