As Rocket League Sideswipe Season 4 winds down, attention is now turning to Season 5, and now the team behind the mobile socCar title has revealed all that's in store for players in the next season.

The seasonal update is set to drop tomorrow (September 7), and with last season being all about the legends of King Arthur and stories of the past, it's perhaps no surprise that Season 5 is going in the opposite direction with a futuristic batch of content.

Players can expect a brand new Rocket Pass and two new cars in the shape of the Chikara G1 and Masamune.

This season will also see the return of Ranked Volley, giving players another avenue to get competitive.

If you want to learn more, including the start time and rewards, keep on reading.

Rocket League SIdeswipe Season 5 - Start Time

Rocket League Sideswipe Season 4 is still live at the time of writing, with the expected end time being 2 pm UTC on September 7.

This will be the cut-off for your Season 4 Rank Rewards, so if you have your eyes on a particular Quick Chat Sticker you still have some time to grind.

Season 5 starts later that same day, with ranks reset and new challenges introduced.

Rocket League Sideswipe Season 5 - Rocket Pass

The start of Season 5 will mark the start of a brand new Rocket Pass, with this season's theme laying the ground for a set of futuristic cosmetics.

The Rocket Pass is free and offers 50 tiers of rewards, with the developers revealing a few of the more enticing ones. These include two new cars, the Chikara G1and Masamune, as well as a Holo Data Goal Explosion, TOBO-Visor Topper, Pulsus Wheels, and the Hexphase Boost.

Ranked Volleyball

Volleyball isn't a new game mode to Rocket League Sideswipe, but it hasn't been available for several months now, having first appeared back in February with the launch of Season 2.

Returning as part of the Ranked playlist, Volleyball is a 2v2 game mode that takes the onus off scoring goals and instead rewards players who can keep the ball in the air.

With a net in the middle, players must not let the ball drop in their half of the pitch. Expect rallies, last-ditch saves, and plenty of aerial action.
