The new Sumeru region will bring a bunch of brand new characters, weapons, and enemies to Genshin Impact in the version 3.0 update! Here are all of them!
Version 3.0 is on the horizon in Genshin Impact! Called "The Morn a Thousand Roses Brings", this is a new label update from HoYoverse that will bring a plethora of content to the game. The recently released update teaser did not fail to impress.

There is a bunch of content to cover. But for now, let's go over all the new characters, weapons, and enemies that will be released in the new update.
Genshin Impact v3.0 Release Date
Genshin Impact will be updated with Version 3.0 on August 24, 2022. HoYoverse announced that the duration of future version updates will be adjusted to five weeks.
Here is a preview of the version update schedule:
- Version 3.0: August 24, 2022
- Version 3.1: September 28, 2022
- Version 3.2: November 2, 2022
- Version 3.3: December 7, 2022
New Region: Sumeru
Sumeru is one of the seven regions in Teyvat. It is a land that worships the God of Wisdom - also known as Lesser Lord Kusanali. As such, many of Sumeru's residents value intelligence and the pursuit of knowledge. It's a region that has dense, lush, and green forests with its own set of unique characters, quests, objects, and more.
It is currently the fourth released region in Genshin Impact. We are still waiting on Fontaine, Natland, and Snezhnaya to be released in future updates.
Genshin Impact v3.0 Characters
Six characters will be released in the v3.0 update. These are Collei, Dori, Ganyu, Sangonomiya Kokomi, Tighnari, and Zhongli. Here's a first look at them all.
Collei
Collei is a four-star rarity Dendro Archer character. She is a trainee ranger who is active in the Avidya Forest. On the surface, Collei has an enthusiastic personality but under all that, she is slightly introverted.
Dori
Dori is a four-star rarity Electro character. She is an elusive merchant who has a fondness for glittering Mora. Travelers will need to find her in the new update...
Ganyu
Ganyu is a five-star rarity Cryo character that will be coming in the version 3.0 update of Genshin Impact! She is the secretary at Yuehai Pavilion. Ganyu also has the blood of the Qilin flowing through her veins.
Sangonomiya Kokomi
Sangonomiya Kokomi is a five-star rarity Hydro character. She is the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island where she handles all of the island's affairs.
Tighnari
Tighnari is a five-star rarity that will be a Dendro archer character. He is a young researcher who is knowledgeable about botany as he currently serves as a Forest Watcher in Avidya Forest. He is described to be a "straight shooter with a warm heart — and a dab hand at guiding even the dullest of pupils."
Zhongli
Zhongli is a five-star rarity Geo character coming to Genshin Impact in the version 3.0 update! He is a mysterious know-all who is contracted by the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.
Genshin Impact v3.0 Weapons
Seven new weapons will be coming to Genshin Impact in the version 3.0 update! Let's take a look at all of them.
- Forest Regalia: Four-star rarity sword
- Fruit of Fulfillment: Four-star rarity weapon
- King's Squire: Four-star rarity bow
- Moonpiercer: Four-star rarity spear
- Sapwood Blade: Four-star rarity sword
Besides the aforementioned weapons, there are two other weapons joining the roster of new weapons. These are:
- Hunter's Path: Five-star rarity bow
- End of the Line: Four-star rarity bow
Genshin Impact v3.0 Enemies
There will be three main enemies which you will be able to encounter and defeat in the v3.0 update. These are the Jadeplume Terrorshroom, Electro Regisvine, and the Ruin Drake.
Jadeplume Terrorshroom
Jadeplume Terrorshroom is an enemy that has been around for many long years. After all this time, this large fungal beast has morphed into a unique form that will certainly scare even the most fearless of Travelers.
Electro Regisvine
Electro Regisvine is a huge vine that has morphed into a monster through the conduction of high-voltage currents through the ley lines.
Ruin Drake
Ruin Drake is a massive new type of Ruin Machine that will be coming to Genshin Impact in the v3.0 update.
