Total War Medieval 2: Kingdoms will include four new campaigns spanning over 400 years and a whole new continent.
One of 2022's best mobile games is set to get a massive expansion with Total War Medieval 2: Kingdoms adding four new campaigns to the grand strategy game.
The expansion, which has been given a release date of Fall 2022, is set to expand the world's borders with new campaigns in the Baltic, the Middle East, the Americas, and the British Isles.
A gameplay trailer was released as part of GameSpot's Swipe Mobile Showcase, and it gives us a better idea of what these four campaigns will entail.
There will be a five-way contest over the domain of the British Isles, with players able to choose between the Norwegians, Scots, English, Irish, and Welsh.
A trip east will see players take control of the Teutonic Order as they attempt to subjugate the Baltic states.
Then there is the Crusades, which will take the action to the Middle East, as powers vye over control of Jerusalem.
Then slightly stretching the Medieval timeline is an exploration of the Americas, with players able to play colonizer or defender of the land.
The expansion will be available as a one-time purchase from within the game - so you will need the original to get involved. The original game is available for $14.99 USD (prices will differ across the world), and the expansion will likely cost a little less.
We highly recommend you give that, and this expansion when it releases, a look. Feral Interactive have been the lead developers on a number of remakes and mobile ports of Creative Assembly's stable of grand strategy titles, and they have done a fantastic job with it each and every time.
Total War Medieval 2 is one of the most fondly remembered games from the franchise, and the mobile port does it justice and then some. Roll on Fall.
