Tower of Fantasy has landed with a splash, but available platforms are limited. So, will we see ports to the Xbox family of consoles? Answers inside.
Hotta Studio's Tower of Fantasy is the latest big-budget Chinese-developed MMORPG to hit these shores, and it already looks like a hit, as well as more than a little like Genshin Impact.
However, this anime-styled game ditches the traditional fantasy elements (ironic, I know) of Genshin Impact and instead goes sci-fi, with players able to explore the vast open world of Aida as one of the game's many characters.
Over four million gamers pre-registered their interest in the game before its global launch on August 11, giving you an indication of just how popular the game could be.
Of course, that is still a long way from HoYoverse's Genshin Impact, with the rival title counting over 60 million active players as of June 2022. To catch up, or even surpass, Genshin Impact will take a big doing, and it looks like Hotta Studio's are at least boxing smart in an attempt to do so. We have already seen how controller support was extended to Android players (something Genshin Impact has never offered), but what about expanding to platforms that the Genshin Impact devs have snubbed entirely with an Xbox version?
Currently, Tower of Fantasy is only available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store and on mobile devices with versions for Android and iOS. Obviously missing here are any console versions at all, with the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles all without ports.
This is where Tower of Fantasy falls short compared to Genshin Impact, the latter has seen ports released for PlayStation 4 and later the PlayStation 5, and an eventual release for the Nintendo Switch has been confirmed.

Will Tower Of Fantasy Get An Xbox Release?
Currently, there are no plans for any console release for Tower of Fantasy. This was confirmed by the Tower of Fantasy developers in a Twitter thread on April 20, 2022.
There is currently no plan to release the game on console in the near future as we're currently focused on PC & mobile only for this global version. We appreciate your support and will post an update if this changes.

So, not exactly a definitive no but certainly no release date planned in the immediate future.
