From the start, you will find yourself running back and forth between locations for simple tasks like collecting materials, speaking to NPCs, purchasing items, giving gifts, and so on.
While traveling between locations, in the beginning, will not bother you that much. Still, as you explore and unlock new areas, you will find traveling across the abandoned island a chore rather than a fun activity.

How To Unlock Mailbox Fast Travel Points
In Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you can unlock fast travel by completing the quest called Delivery Service that you obtain from the NPC named Kuromi, whom you can find in the Spooky Swamps area of the abandoned island.
To reach the Spooky Swamps area, you must complete the "Power Up the Gate" quest, where you get the task to craft a device using which you can find three Power Crystal Sensors required to open the door that unlocks the easter part of the island.
Once you complete the quest, head to Spooky Swamp, find Kuromi, and give him the starting gift that My Melody gives you at the beginning of the game.
After that, you can take on the Delivery Service quest and complete it to unlock the fast travel feature in the game.
To use fast travel, you can open your map tap on any of the unlocked Fast Travel Mail Boxes, and hit on 'Go' to commence the travel.
Alternatively, you can interact with any of the Fast Travel Mail Boxes, manually choose a travel point, and commence the fast travel.
