Another Android-based gaming handheld is on the way, this one supporting 5G and manufactured by Razer.
Verizon is teaming up with hardware and periphery manufacturer Razer for what is billed as the world's first 5 G-enabled gaming handheld.
The device was announced by Verizon execs at the Mobile World Congress in Las Vegas and will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon G3X Gen 1 Gaming Platform.
The Android-based device will be able to play games locally, streamed for your console, or from the cloud through services like Xbox Game Pass or Nvidia GeForce Now.

And unlike the yet-to-launched Logitech G Cloud, which only allows for internet access over WiFi, the Razer Edge 5G supports 5G Ultra Wideband, meaning you can take your gaming properly on the go.
The device itself looks pretty similar to Razer's Kishi mobile controller, though instead of popping your phone in, the screen comes built-in. And though it is just a teaser trailer, the device's bumpers and triggers look satisfying 'clicky'.
Razer's hardware has always pushed the envelope of ingenuity and polish, and with Qualcomm's latest gaming platform as the Razer Edge 5G's bedrock, this looks like a very promising gaming handheld.
More information is expected at the Razercon, which will take place on October 15.
