This guide shares details on how you can solve the Wilting Weeping Willow puzzle to activate the underwater altar to obtain one of the three keys required for progressing The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes quest in Genshin Impact.
After obtaining the first key at the Foggy Forest Path and meeting Pashiv in Fontaine, players trigger a world quest called The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes in Genshin Impact that tasks them to find three keys, of which they already have one, with the remaining two found in Weeping Willow of the Lake and Loch Urania.
In this guide, we are going to talk about the altar found at the Weeping Willow of the Lake that you must activate to obtain another key and complete the sub-quest, Wilting Weeping Willow.
How To Find A Way To Activate The Altar In Genshin Impact
To activate the altar in the quest, 'Wilting Weeping Willow,' you must use the primary attack button at the nearby Stingray, aka the Xenochromatic Creature, to obtain the wide hydro slash ability.
Once that is done, use the attack on the vines right above the altar to destroy the cage and free the other Xenochromatic Creature, an Octopus.
Now, use your normal attack on the creature to obtain his bubble ability, which you must then use to get rid of the crystals infecting the bubble maker plant.
When you do that, a bubble with appear that you must center near the altar such that all three Harmonious Reed Pipes are under the blue circular line, as shown in the above screenshot.
After that, burst the bubble to activate the Harmonious Reed Pipes, activating the altar. Next, you will get the objective to 'Examine the item on the Altar.'
Go near the altar, grab the second key, and exhaust all the dialogue interactions between Paimon, Pashiv, and you. Doing so will complete the quest.

You can find the altar required for progressing and completing the Wilting Weeping Willow world quest in Genshin Impact at the Weeping Willow of the Lake location in Fontaine.
Head to the location shown in the above map screenshot and dive underwater. You will find the altar at the sea bed.
