Similar to any other live-service game and the mainstream Call of Duty titles, Warzone Mobile's launch on the Android and iOS platforms was met with several issues.

The most concerning one was the overheating and quick battery drain caused by playing Warzone Mobile.

While we don't have a permanent fix for it, we do have some fixes that players can use to reduce the device temperature and battery drain issue in Warzone Mobile.

How To Fix Device Overheating Issues In Warzone Mobile

Warzone Mobile has three graphics settings directly impacting the device's temperature while playing the game.

Now, several other factors are responsible for it, though these three are under your control, and you can adjust them to reduce the overheating issue.

These settings are:

  • Visual Quality: You can reduce this to improve FPS and heating issue
  • Performance Optimization For Battery / Framerate: Here, you can select the 'Battery' option to reduce the heat buildup as you play the game
  • Max Framerate / FPS: You can set it to 30 FPS to reduce the heating issue

Reducing these settings helps you play longer by stopping the fast battery drain issue and reducing the overheating issue.

Activision officially suggests these workarounds through the Warzone Mobile X (formerly Twitter) handle, though I did test it on my iPhone 13 Pro before telling them.

I saw a reduction in heat while playing Warzone Mobile with the reduced settings, but the gameplay experience was unpleasant.

But still, since it works to an extent until Activision finds a way to permanently fix this issue, we recommend applying the above setting, except the 30 FPS one, because you can't play an FPS title with 30 FPS.
