The Best Build For Chiori In Genshin Impact

The best build for Chiori focuses on improving her DEF and ATK as her abilities scale with the said attributes while improving things like GEO DMG, Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst damage.

You can use Chiori as an off-field and on-field DPS unit in Genshin Impact with her Elemental Skill, Fluttering Hasode, being one of the key abilities that you should be focusing more on.

Why, you must be thinking? It is because while Chiori's abilities scale with DEF and ATK, and improving them would result in increased damage output from her different skills, the Elemental Skill has an extra layer attached to it, which comes in handy while deciding her best team comps.

Fluttering Hasode

Dashes nimbly forward with silken steps. Once this dash ends, Chiori will summon the automaton doll "Sode" beside her and sweep her blade upward, dealing AoE Geo DMG to nearby opponents based on her ATK and DEF.

Holding the Skill will cause it to behave differently.

Hold

Enter Aiming Mode to adjust the dash direction.

Sode

  • Will slash at nearby opponents at intervals, dealing AoE Geo DMG based on Chiori's ATK and DEF.
  • While active, if there are nearby Geo Construct(s) or Geo Construct(s) are created nearby, an additional Sode will be summoned next to your active character.
  • Only 1 additional Sode can be summoned in this manner, and its duration is independently counted.

"Sakura red dyes the brocade, the fragrance suffuses the sleeves, the orioles intoxicated."

As you can see, you can get an extra Sode if you have a Geo Construct in the vicinity before or after using Chiori's Elemental Skill. In short, improving the damage output from Fluttering Hasode to a great extent.

Moreover, since you don't need Chiori on field to activate it, let alone use it's effects, it allows you to chain different GEO abilities to wreck havoc in the battlefield.

For example, using Chiori's 'E,' switching to someone like Arataki Itto, Albedo, Zhongli or others, using their 'E' followed by 'Q,' the Elemental Burst.

Best Weapons For Chiori In Genshin Impact

The best weapon for Chiori in Genshin Impact is none other than her signature weapon, the Uraku Misugiri, which is tailored for her character kit.

Its secondary stat increases CRIT DMG% while the weapon skill helps improve her DEF, Normal ATK DMG and Elemental Skill DMG, which you can further improve by using a different character to deal GEO DMG.

Weapon Skill: Brocade Bloom, Shrine Sword

Normal Attack DMG is increased by 16%, and Elemental Skill DMG is increased by 24%. After a nearby active character deals Geo DMG, the aforementioned effects increase by 100% for 15s. Additionally, the wielder's DEF is increased by 20%.

Apart from that, you can also use ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ swords like the Mistsplitter Reforged and Primordial Jade Cutter , depending on how you manage the primary attributes, which are ATK and DEF, and other stats.

Now, when it comes to ⭐⭐⭐⭐ weapons, we recommend using the Cinnabar Spindle or the Wolf-Fang. The first one is best for massively increasing Chiori's DEF attribute while increasing her Elemental Skill damage.

Meanwhile, Wolf-Fang, which is obtained via the Battle Pass, is good for improving Chiori's CRIT Rate, Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst damage.

Lastly, for ⭐⭐⭐ swords, you can go for Harbinger of Dawn or Traveler's Handy Sword.

What I will be using on Chiori?

I already have a maxed-out Harbinger of Dawn (R5), which I have planned to use on Chiori. If I am unsatisfied with the damage, I may wish on her weapon's banner.

Pro Tip:

If you are going to use your own team composition, which is a great thing as Genshin Impact is a game where you can experiment a lot and "have fun" rather than being a try-hard meta maniac, we would recommend having at least two GEO units on the team. This is because:

  • Geo Resonance effect: DMG dealt increased by 15%, dealing DMG to enemies will decrease their Geo RES by 20% for 15s.
  • You need a character with Geo Construct to use Chiori's full potential (Elemental Skill's extra Sode)
