When you think of iconic Call of Duty maps, a few classics will come to mind. One that most players will always think of is Rust.

This multiplayer map first made its franchise debut in 2009's Modern Warfare 2 and was described as a "tiny desert sandstorm" that offers "fast-paced action on a small map." More than a decade later, this statement still holds for each appearance it makes.

Rust has cultivated such a deep following that it has earned itself the title of 'fan-favorite' and players always want to see it in new Call of Duty games.

Now, this wish has come true yet again as Activision has revealed that Rust will be added to their newly released mobile title, Warzone Mobile.

Players can expect a 1:1 build of Rust for Warzone Mobile that's comparable to the console version. In Call of Duty Mobile, a remastered version of the map was introduced to the game as part of the Season 6 update, so there's no reason to believe this isn't achievable for Warzone Mobile.

Rust features a massive, maze-like, hollow Tower located at the center of the map. Surrounding it are open spaces with scattered containers, pipes, and smaller structures that offer protection against enemy fire and killstreaks.

Given the tight corners and narrow spaces that players may find themselves in, Rust has a notorious reputation for encouraging players to engage in short-range combat most of the time. This means that whenever a player jumps into a game with Rust, they must be ready to be agile and quick on their trigger finger.

Activision has confirmed that Rust will be debuting in Warzone Mobile on April 3, 2024. It will join the game's growing map roster alongside Rebirth Island, Verdansk, Scrapyard, Shipment, and Shoot House.
