This newly announced collaboration builds upon the ongoing relationship between EFG and Supercell.
Brawl Stars was a centerpiece of the inaugural season of the Snapdragon Pro Series and its first-ever Mobile Masters title, with the Brawl Stars finals hosted at DreamHack Japan in May 2023 awarding a total prize pool of USD $200,000.
This multi-year deal secures Brawl Stars, the popular fast-paced 3v3 multiplayer and battle royale game, as a mainstay in Snapdragon Pro Series competition in the years to come. The game’s esports scene flourished last year with more than 273,000 peak viewers for the 2023 Brawl Stars World Finals.
Kim Jensen, Head of Brawl Stars Esports at Supercell applauded the partnership, stating:
The Snapdragon Pro Series has proven itself as a top-tier circuit for mobile esports through its global reach and high production value. We look forward to working with the EFG team to reach new audiences and solidify Brawl Stars as a leading mobile esport.
The Brawl Stars Championship will be available in more than 190 countries and territories through five regional leagues: Asia-Pacific (APAC); Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA); North America; South America; and the Chinese Mainland.
APAC, EMEA, and North and South America will compete in the online Monthly Qualifiers and Monthly Finals that provide teams with the opportunity to advance to the World Finals alongside an offline last-chance qualifier (LCQ) in late August 2024. Details of the location of the LCQ and World Finals will be revealed at a later date.
Vice President of Game Ecosystems, Mobile, at ESL FACEIT Group, Sam Braithwaite, added:
Brawl Stars has been a catalyst for the growth of the Snapdragon Pro Series since Day 1, as has our work with Supercell across other titles such as Clash of Clans. Our fundamental knowledge of the Brawl Stars esports ecosystem and years of experience operating mobile leagues at a global scale position us to make the Brawl Stars Championship 2024 the best one yet.
