Brawl Stars' Brawl Pass will undergo a huge rework in January 2024 to see it become "more fun to complete." Here's a look at all the changes.

Changes will be hitting Brawl Stars' seasonal reward system, the Brawl Pass, in the coming year. The Supercell team states that the goal of the proposed overhaul is to ensure that the Brawl Pass is more rewarding for both free-to-play and paying players.

In addition to this, they aim to make the Brawl Pass more enjoyable to complete, to provide players with flexibility on how they can progress through it, and to improve its monetization system.

Overall, this would affect the length of a single Brawl Pass season, how players can progress through it, and the rewards available in both the free and paid Brawl Pass track. It's a lengthy rework, so buckle up and take note of all this important information.

New Brawl Pass Season Length

The developers believe that a two-month Brawl Pass is too long as most players tend to feel unsatisfied with the season's rewards or stop playing after they collect the Pass-exclusive brawler.

With that in mind, Supercell will reduce the Brawl Pass length to only one month. They reason that this would allow "each season to feel fresh and new." Given that players are most excited usually during the first month, this change seeks to capitalize on the initial hype whilst providing more rewards than players would usually get in the old system.

After this change, the Brawl Pass will start on the first Thursday of each month.

Improved Brawl Pass Progression System And Quests

In the coming changes, players will find more ways to progress through the Brawl Pass. Previously, most of the Pass' progress could be earned by completing Daily Quests.

Now, more Seasonal Quests will be offered to players. These quests can be completed at any point during a season. This change would offer players more freedom in deciding when and how they want to complete the Brawl Pass.

Besides this, two additional changes are en route. Firstly, Hard Quests will be removed and will be replaced by more Medium Quests. These will grant players 500 Tokens instead of 250. Secondly, Seasonal Quests will be added daily instead of only on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

In response to more available Quests, the number of Brawl Pass Tokens required to unlock each tier and each tail reward will be increased.

Free Brawl Pass Track Rewards

With all of these changes to the season length and Quests, many may question how this will affect the Brawl Pass for free-to-play (F2P) players. To put it shortly, players will earn just as many rewards as they did before.

However, Chroma Credits will be removed from the free track in place of more Credits and less Bling will be available.

Here is a breakdown of the total rewards an F2P player can get in a year before and after the Brawl Pass rework:

  • Old Rewards (based on an average player who gets three Passes in a year): 90,525 Coins, 28,500 Power Points, 540 Gems, 8,880 Credits, and 4,500 Chroma Credits
  • New Rewards: 6,000 Coins, 30,000 Power Points, 600 Gems, 12,000 Credits, 0 Chroma Credits, 348 Starr Drops, and 12 Legendary Starr Drops

In regards to Starr Drops, 29 of them will be available per month (which in total, amounts to 348 per year). On top of this, one Legendary Starr Drop will be given each month.

Paid Brawl Pass Track Pricing And Rewards

The cost of the paid Brawl Pass will be updated. After the rework, players will no longer be able to purchase the Brawl Pass with Gems. Instead, players can only use money to get the seasonal Pass. With this change, players can expect to earn more rewards compared to before.

The Brawl Pass bundle will also be removed. In its place, the new Brawl Pass Plus - an improved Brawl Pass with more rewards - will be added
