The details of the February 2023 balance changes in Brawl Stars have been revealed. Here's a look at all the buffs, nerfs, and reworks.
Season 17, dubbed 'Mystery at the Hub', will kick off in Brawl Stars on March 6. To prepare the game for the upcoming update and arrival of two new brawlers (R-T and Willow), the devs will implement a new round of balance changes.
The February patch is noticeably smaller than the ones we've had in the past. It's believed that this is due to the return of unbreakable walls and the devs needing more data before introducing harder-hitting changes.
That being said, let's dive into the February 2023 balance changes.
Brawl Stars February Balance Changes - Buffs
Byron and Sandy were the only brawlers buffed in the February balance changes. These were only minor increments, so they don't have a massive effect on the meta.
On the other hand, the patch introduced a significant matchmaking improvement for team-based game modes. Now, players will be distributed into teams that bear similar skill levels.
But with that out of the way, here's a look at the brawler buffs in detail:
Brawler | Buff |
Byron | Reload speed increased by 9.4% |
Sandy | Base attack damage increased from 860 to 900 |
Brawl Stars February Balance Changes - Nerfs
Gray, Otis, Otis, Poco, and Sam were nerfed in February balance changes. Gray saw his Super's utility slightly nerfed. Otis and Poco had their HP reduced, while Sam and Grom had their Super damage and attack damage decreased respectfully.
Here's a closer look at the brawler nerfs in detail:
Brawler | Nerf |
Gray | Gray's Super now no longer instantly teleports teammates |
Grom | Base attack damage reduced from 1,160 to 1,060 |
Otis | Base HP decreased from 3,400 to 3,200 |
Poco | Base HP decreased from 4,000 to 3,700 |
Sam | Base Super damage decreased from 1,400 to 1,200 |
Brawl Stars February Balance Changes - Rework
Bo was the only reworked brawler in the February balance changes. Though not a major overhaul of his stats or abilities, the rework did update his popular Super Totem Gadget.
Here's a look at the rework in detail:
Brawler | Rework |
Bo | Super Totem Gadget now no longer passively charges Supers. Instead, it now instantly charges the Supers of Bo and any allies inside the Totem by 50%. The Totem area has also been increased by 100% |
