Supercell's Clash of Clans World Championship will crown a new world champion in 2022! Here are all the details about the tournament format, how to participate, teams that have qualified, and more!
Clash of Clans esports is back and bigger than ever! For 2022, Supercell has planned a massive Clash of Clans World Championship that will see players worldwide compete for the coveted World Championship title.

There's a bunch of info to break down in that short video. So, let's explain the tournament format, how teams can qualify, and all the details in between!
Clash Of Clans World Championship 2022 - Format
Clash of Clans World Championship 2022 will take on a somewhat similar format to 2021's World Championship but with a brand new twist - Golden Tickets! Eight Golden Tickets will be available. Each ticket will guarantee a team's place at the Clash of Clans World Championship 2022.
If you've ever read or watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, then you'll know exactly how these tickets work. Each team that wins a Golden Ticket will gain automatic qualification to the World Finals! There are two ways that teams can win a Golden Ticket: community-organized tournaments or Championship Qualifiers.
Community-Organized Tournaments
The Supercell team has collaborated with some of the biggest Clash of Clans community event managers like ClashMSTRS, ESL, and Queso Cup to host four exclusive events. The winners of each of these events will each win - in addition to a $50,000 cash prize - a Golden Ticket!
These are the names of the community-organized tournaments:
- Queso Cup Golden Edition
- Clash MSTRS: Gold Edition
- ESL Snapdragon Pro Series
- Queso Cup Golden Edition II
Championship Qualifiers
You might be wondering - what about the other four tickets? Well, that will be decided by the Championship Qualifiers hosted by Supercell that will run alongside these community-organized tournaments. It will consist of four stages held over a five-week period from August 10 to September 10, 2022.

Four Golden Tickets will be given away to the top four teams in the Championship Qualifiers. Any team in the world can participate in these qualifiers. The only requirement is that the team have five players that each have max-level Town Halls.
World Finals 2022
Once the final eight teams have been finalized, it's off to the World Finals! The Clash of Clans World Championship 2002 World Finals will be held between September 23-25, 2022. The top eight teams will battle it out in person for the coveted Clash of Clans World Champion 2022 crown!
