It's been a long time coming, but it looks like Call of Duty: Mobile players will finally be able to go hunting zombies once again.
Not some musings from the developers or an an appearance in a test build, we have the real deal here: finally, confirmation that classic Zombies is heading back to Call of Duty: Mobile.
The confirmation didn't come without some teasing; teasing we could have done without considering the well over two-year absence of everyone's favorite PvE mode.
It started with a 'like' challenge on Twitter, get 1,000 likes, and the "Social VFX Artist" would "drop intel" on the future of COD: Mobile's Zombies mode. The likes came flooding in, and then it happened.
Classic Zombies To Return To COD: Mobile Imminently
A few hours later, and we got it, confirmation that the classic Zombies mode would be returning to COD: Mobile "very soon."

Its return is far from a total surprise; a couple of months ago a playable version of the game mode appeared in a test build and the developers have spoken openly about working on its return, but this is the first time it has truly been confirmed in an official capacity.
Considering how long fans of the game mode have been waiting, and the proximity to the release of Season 8: Nowhere To Run, there is a high chance we will get the game mode when that season launches on September 7.
Until then, a community lies in wait...
