The developers behind Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile have stated they have no plans to let players link their accounts with COD: Mobile.
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will not give players the option to link their accounts with that of Call of Duty: Mobile, potentially ruling out any cross-progression between the two titles.
The news came courtesy of the official Warzone Mobile Twitter account, which responded to a comment made by a COD: Mobile player, asking if they would be able to link their account to use their cosmetics.
"To semi-confirm, we don't have a plan currently to connect CODM and Warzone Mobile accounts." Read the tweet.

Warzone Mobile And COD: Mobile Won't Be Linked
While this is disappointing for COD: Mobile players who could have up to three years of cosmetics on their account, it is not exactly a surprise.
The games are developed by different teams, and Warzone Mobile uses the same engine as Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 (IW), while COD: Mobile uses Unity, making porting over assets extremely time-consuming if not impossible.
Warzone Mobile will offer cross-progression with Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0, with the developers confirming that when the game got its official reveal at the COD: Next franchise showcase. The developers claim the games will feature a unified battle pass and offer the ability to unlock a gun in one game and have it available in another.
Fears that the release of Warzone Mobile may signal a winding down of development on COD: Mobile also reached the ears of the developers of the latter, with the team coming out recently to state that both games would "co-exist" after the release of Warzone Mobile in 2023.
COD: Mobile is set to celebrate its three-year anniversary in November, and fans of the game will be hoping there is a fourth - even if just to play with their meticulously curated cosmetics.
