The news was announced during the Call of Duty: Next franchise showcase, which also offered up a previously unseen trailer.

The rest of the showcase, as it relates to Warzone Mobile, confirmed many of the features that had been leaked ahead of time.
That included 120-player lobbies, cross-progression with Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, and the return of Verdansk.
The Warzone Mobile reveal also reiterated the fact that Warzone Mobile's lobbies won't be padded out with bots, a point also made in a biting product description that went live on the game's Google Play Store page last night (September 14).

Warzone Mobile will also feature Buy Stations, Finishers, Kill Streaks, and the Gulag, all features that aren't present in Call of Duty: Mobile's battle royale mode.
The showcase also marked the occasion when COD: Warzone Mobile's pre-registrations opened - at least for Android users - with a series of rewards offered for those that do so before the global launch.
