With each new year, Call of Duty: Mobile resets the season counter, and with 2023 just around the corner, that means the arrival of Season 1.

It is an interesting time for a game that just celebrated its third birthday. Still the best first-person shooter on mobile, it faces stiff competition heading into the new year, not least from Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, which has not only a fully-fledged battle royale mode but also conventional game modes and a growing map pool.

Thankfully, for COD: Mobile fans, the developers remain committed to its development. We've had not only the usual content released with every new season and new features added in recent months, such as the battle pass vault and the return of Zombies Classic.

But what is in store for 2023 and Season 1? The developers have only teased one or two things, but thanks to a recent test build, we have a pretty good idea of what is in store.

COD: Mobile Season 1 - Start And End Date

There is currently no official release date for Season 1 (2023); however, based on the Season 11 end date, it is likely that Season 1 will be released on January 15.

Seasons can last from four to six weeks, with Season 1 likely to wrap up sometime in early February.

New Weapons - Dingo LMG And Stim Shot Tactical

Thanks to that previously mentioned test build, we have learned that the Dingo light-machine gun will be introduced in Season 1.

The developers teased the arrival of a light-machine gun as recently as last week, and LeakersOnDuty - as reputable a source for COD: Mobile as you can get - claims that it will be the Dingo, a gun first seen in Black Ops III.

Described as a full-auto light-machine gun with a "fast fire rate [and] moderate recoil," the Dingo LMG will be the ninth gun in a class that doesn't get many new additions.

Also likely to arrive is the Stim Shot tactical; it appears in the latest test build, and while it hasn't been confirmed to be arriving in Season 1, it is already in a playable state.

Using the Stim Shot increases health regain and sprint speed, and it looks like it will prove popular with those that like to get up close to their opponents.

Again, we are not entirely sure this will arrive in Season 1, but with it ready to go, there is a high chance.

More Leaks

LeakersOnDuty has also revealed a number of other new additions, which, again, may or may not turn up in Season 1.

That includes a number of legendary weapon blueprints they state will arrive in Season 1, as well as a new perk called Militant.

There has also been the discovery of a new scorestreak, a remote-controlled drone with a grenade launcher attached.

There also appears to be an added title when ADS-ing, providing a more realistic experience.

Of course, until the developers confirm these features, we don't know whether they will arrive in Season 1 or remain as they are on the test server.

We will update this page with more information as it becomes available.
