Warzone Mobile Devs Tease Ghost Operator Skin As Final Pre-Registration Reward

A Simon "Ghost" Riley operator skin looks to be the final Warzone Mobile pre-registration reward.

Ghost 2

Simon "Ghost" Riley is perhaps the most iconic of Call of Duty's protagonists, the man who players watched being betrayed by General Shepherd at the end of 2009's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 before they themselves were taken out by gaming's most famous double-crosser.

It's a moment that is etched in many gamers' minds and one which made Ghost, a lieutenant in the British Special Forces who wears a ghoulish mask, a touchstone for the franchise.

He has subsequently appeared in other iterations of the franchise and is one of the most popular operator skins in Call of Duty: Warzone, and with that being the case, it's perhaps no surprise that he looks set to appear in the upcoming Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, as part of the game's pre-registration rewards.

Pre-Register For COD: Warzone Mobile And Get A Ghost Operator Skin

Pre-registration for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile began on September 15, announced at the COD: Next franchise showcase. Rewards were also revealed, and depending on how many pre-registrations the game received before launch, would see each player who pre-registered a series of in-game cosmetics.

On offer were two weapon blueprints, a player emblem, and a weapon vinyl. However, one reward, locked behind the last milestone of 25 million pre-registrations, was not revealed. Well, until now.

In a teaser video posted on the official Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile social accounts, a mask similar to that previously worn by Ghost is brought into view before an unseen man walks over and picks it up.

"Does this iconic mask make the operator?" reads the tweet.

"You'll find out who's behind it soon."

Soon may be very soon indeed, the game's pre-registration campaign has been a huge success. Currently only available via the Google Play Store and not yet Apple's App Store, the 15 million pre-registration milestone was surpassed in less than two weeks, a record for any Activision Blizzard game, according to the company.

With the four announced rewards in the bag, it is surely only a matter of time before those that pre-registered have a Ghost operator skin waiting for them when the game launches globally in 2023.
