With pre-registration now opened in the Apple App Store, a tentative release date has been given for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.
Pre-registrations, or pre-orders as Apple likes to refer to it, were opened for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile on the App Store last night (October 17), hot on the heels of the game surpassing 25 million pre-registrations on the rival Google Play Store.
The hype for the game is palpable, but when the vast majority of us will actually be able to play it is unclear, with the developers only fixing themselves to a global release sometime in 2023.
That was until last night when that rather open-ended release schedule was changed with a fixed release date.

Now... before you get stressed about the fact you couldn't possibly wait another seven months to play Warzone Mobile understand something.
It's likely some form of widely available open beta will take place between now and then, if not a soft launch, which in mobile gaming terms is basically a global release but with regions rolling out in stages, and with the caveat from the developers that progress could be wiped and/or bugs should be accepted.
Rumors are swirling that a soft launch could start this year, with many pointing to the fact that the Google Play Store demands apps are released within 90 days of their listing, which would mean making the game widely available by December 15.
If that turns out to be the case, we'll let you know.
Until then, why not check out what else is happening in mobile gaming:
