Warzone Mobile Won't Officially Support Emulators

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile won't - at least officially - support Android emulators that would allow you to play the highly anticipated battle royale on PC.

That's the word from the developers themselves, who, when asked if PC players would be able to play with mobile players via the official Facebook page for the game, said:

"No, the game is meant to be played strictly on iOS and Android and not through emulators on PC."

That doesn't mean Android emulators, such as Gameloop or BlueStacks, won't work with the game, but the lack of official support means players who do so run the risk of having their account banned.

Interestingly, Call of Duty's other mobile title, Call of Duty: Mobile, does officially support emulators - though those that use them are put into lobbies only with other emulator players.

The use of Android emulators in competitive mobile games is a contentious one, with emulator users benefiting from improved performance, larger screen size, and the ability to use a mouse and keyboard - allowed to mix with those on mobile is a disaster for a game's competitive experience.

Few can have any complaints about Warzone Mobile not officially supporting emulators. Warzone 2.0 is available on both PC (and consoles) and Call of Duty: Mobile has and will continue to support the use of emulators, so there remain plenty of ways to get your COD fix while using a keyboard and mouse.
