While COD: Mobile is mostly known for its multiplayer modes, the battle royale and zombie game modes have their own dedicated player base.

According to Leakers On Duty, a Twitter handle that "handles" leaks and datamined information on Call of Duty games and a few others, with the main focus on COD: Mobile and Warzone Mobile, the Zombies game mode in COD: Mobile is getting an update.

At first, they posted a short GIF file that gave the vibes of the Outbreak mode from COD: Cold War. Though met with mixed response from their followers, they soon clarified by quoting their Tweet: "An Update to Zombie Mode is under works. No release dates. No additional details available."

Now, while the COD: Mobile community is, without saying, taking the leak with a massive grain of salt, thanks to the past promises from the devs regarding Zombies game mode and never delivering on them—this time around, we may actually get the long-awaited update that the Zombies mode needed in COD: Mobile.

Apart from that, Leakers On Duty is a reputed handle that, in the past, has delivered on-point leaks and datamined information on COD: Mobile.

So, we will not be surprised if COD: Mobile actually gets an update for its dying Zombies game mode soon.

For now, there's no information on what the update will be. Some players are expecting it to be the addition of the Outbreak game mode.
