Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 will be released soon and the anticipation is rising. It has been confirmed that the theme of the update will be based on spies or a heist. The new season promises to introduce new weapons, Battle Pass skins, and more.
Naturally, with the start of any season, there will also be changes made to the map layout. There will be new locations and points of interest (POIs) that will certainly add a new gameplay element - such as the jungle area in Season 3.
The map has not officially been confirmed, however, the first leaks have suggested several new areas we could potentially see in Fortnite soon.
New Locations And POIs In Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 Map
Two new POIs in the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 have been revealed, courtesy of leaks: Relentless Retreat and Security System.
It's currently unclear how these new POIs will affect the overall layout of the map and which potential locations and landmarks will be replaced by their arrival.
Regardless of their impact on the game, here's a look at what each of these new POIs entails.
Relentless Retreat
Relentless Retreat appears to showcase the lavishly-decorated poolside exterior of a mansion. It's speculated that it belongs to a wealthy supervillain who could be a potential boss in Fortnite later.
The content creator who posted the image, BlendFreshon, shared a message that appears to allude to this new POI:
I'm putting together a team, and a friend we have in common says you'd be perfect for this job. Can you share the information with your group?
This message hints at a potential narrative plot or objective that players will be able to unravel throughout the season.
Security System
Content creator, ImAgus51, shared a second POI that depicts a location with an opulent exterior design. It's known as Security System and alludes to another mansion or secret facility.

The image was shared with another cryptic message:
Cameras, guards, vaults, and the best team in the business. Are you in?
An interesting element to all of these POIs is the moon objects scattered around these locations. We could potentially see more of these appear but at this point, there's no indication of what they could mean for Fortnite players.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 will be released on August 25, 2023. We will get a full idea of everything that's to come and what these strange messages mean when it is globally launched.
