The first global CBT for Arena Breakout has gone live.
Good news for fans of tactical shooters, as Arena Breakout has finally launched its global closed beta test (CBT) on Android devices.
The CBT went live on February 17 at midnight UTC. The game will be available in Australia, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and the United States. On March 9, the CBT will expand to include Brazil, Indonesia, and Japan.
Arena Breakout has garnered significant attention since it was announced. First, for its obvious similarities to the PC game Escape from Tarkov, and then for a jaw-dropping CGI trailer they released in July last year.
Like Escape from Tarkov, Arena Breakout is an extraction shooter set in a war-torn Eastern European country. It features two game modes, Tac Ops and Covert Ops, and four maps: Farm, Valley, North Villa, and a new map in this latest build, Armory. In Tac Ops, players purchase weapons and gear and head into one of the maps to hunt down other players and NPCs, taking their loot and attempting to extract safely with their team. In Covert Ops, players enter the game with randomly generated weapons and gear and must safely extract them to secure their loot.
Arena Breakout also boasts an extensive gunsmithing system, with over 700 weapon attachments, and includes hunger and injury/medical systems, setting it apart from other mobile games.
The latest CBT also includes multiple supported languages, making the game even more accessible to players worldwide. Additionally, there will be a LITE version for lower-end devices, allowing gamers with less powerful smartphones to enjoy the tactical first-person shooter experience.
Players from eligible countries can download the game via the Arena Breakout Google Play Store page. Those outside can register their interest in further CBTs through the official Arena Breakout website.
