Player icons, or Summoner Icons, are little pieces of art that you can unlock in Legends of Runeterra. If you've played the game long enough, it's almost a certainty that you've seen different icons next to your opponents' names – those are the player icons.
These cosmetics add a nice little touch of personality to your Legends of Runeterra profiles. There are over a hundred icons available in the game since its release in 2020.

How To Change Player Icons In Legends Of Runeterra
Changing your player icon in Legends of Runeterra is easy. All you have to do is follow these instructions:
- Launch Legends of Runeterra.
- Find your Player Icon in the top left of the screen
- Tap on the button to open the Player Icon menu.
- Select the Player Icon you want to equip.
- Press the Save button to update your icon.
Your Player Icon should now reflect the new icon that you chose. If the updated icon doesn't show, we recommend giving the steps above a second try.
How To Unlock Player Icons In Legends Of Runeterra
There are different types of icons available in the game. Icons are mostly divided into their respective regions in the game. Most are default icons (meaning that they are available regardless of your advancement in the game) or can be purchased in the Legends of Runeterra store.
Besides these, there are Event, Rank, Tournament, and World Championship icons that can only be unlocked during special events. Gauntlet icons are rewards for participating or winning in the Gauntlet game mode. Alternate icons are region-locked icons.
