The Power Cosmic season in Marvel Snap will introduce the Silver Surfer, a new Token Shop, Collector's Tokens, and card Series to the game.
We're only halfway through the Warriors of Wakanda season in Marvel Snap and the devs have already released a preview of what's to come in the upcoming December season: The Power Cosmic.
We'll be seeing the introduction of new changes such as the revamping of the card collection method, the addition of a new in-game currency, and the expansion of the card series.
And as always in any season, we'll also be seeing a new card, variants, and locations.
The Power Cosmic season will be available in Marvel Snap between December 5 and January 2. So without further ado, let's dive into everything that it has to offer.
Marvel Snap The Power Cosmic Season - New Silver Surfer Card
The Silver Surfer is a 3-cost 0-Power card with the ability 'On Reveal: Give your other 3-Cost cards +3 Power.' He'll synergize well with cards like Brood, Wong, Odin, Bishop, and Ironheart.
The Power Cosmic season pass will have the Silver Surfer as its card of the season. You can purchase the season pass for USD $9.99.
Marvel Snap The Power Cosmic Season - Variants
Two new card variants will be released in The Power Cosmic Season:
- The Collector
- The Infinaut
Marvel Snap The Power Cosmic Season - Locations
Four new locations will be available in The Power Cosmic season of Marvel Snap. These are:
- Lamentis-1: Draw 3 cards. Destroy both decks.
- Klyntar: After turn 4, merge your cards here with a Symbiote.
- Vormir: The first card you play here is destroyed.
- Morag: You can't play your first card here each turn.
Marvel Snap The Power Cosmic Season - Token Shop
Marvel Snap has a limited number of ways players can unlock cards. It was either climbing the Collection Level, opening Collector's Caches and Collector's Reserves, or purchasing the Season Pass. However, those offered your random cards.
In The Power Cosmic season, the devs will introduce a new way to unlock specific cards: The Token Shop. Starting at Collection Level 500, you will now earn Collector's Tokens. These can be exchanged at the Token Shop which refreshes every eight hours with a card you don't already own.
You will earn Collector's Tokens by opening Collector’s Caches and Reserves. Tokens will replace the Boosters you could have previously obtained in them. Collector’s Caches and Reserves will have a 25% chance to drop 100 Tokens each, but once you have all of the Series (pool) 3 cards, you will have an additional ~22% chance to get 400 Tokens.
If you don't have enough Tokens to purchase a card in the Token Shop, you will be able to 'pin' the card so that it remains there indefinitely.
Once the season arrives, everyone with at least Collection Level 500 will get 3,000 Collector's Tokens. If you're at a higher level, you will earn more of these Tokens, but the amount given will vary for each person.
Overall, the Token Shop will speed up the card collection process and give players more control over the cards they get in Marvel Snap.
Marvel Snap The Power Cosmic Season - New Card Series
With the global launch of Marvel Snap, there were only three card pools, more formally known as 'Series', from which players need to collect all the cards from the previous pool to unlock the next one. The devs will now be adding a new Series 4 and 5 to the game.
Series 4 will consist of rare cards. However, you don't need to have all the cards from Series 3 to earn cards from Series 4. You can earn them at any time, including in Collector's Reserves or the Token Shop. They are ten times harder to get than Series 3 cards.
Ten cards will be available in Series 4. These are the cards:
- Absorbing Man
- Agent Coulson
- Attuma
- Helicarrier
- Luke Cage
- Maria Hill
- M'baku
- Orka
- She-Hulk
- Titania
Series 5 will consist of ultra-rare cards. These are the rarest cards to get in Marvel Snap. When new cards are released or when Season Pass cards are no longer available in their Season Pass, they’ll be temporarily added to Series 5.
Six cards will be available in Series 5. These are the cards:
- Bast
- Galactus
- Shuri
- Super Skrull
- Thanos
- Valkyrie
