Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is shaping up to be one of the biggest mobile launches ever, but a lot of its success will hinge on its ability to run on a wide array of devices.

With 120-player lobbies, it will be the biggest battle royale available on mobile devices, trumping the 100-player lobbies seen in PUBG Mobile.

We've seen the effect poor performance can have on a mobile title with Apex Legends Mobile - which supports 60-player lobbies - not quite setting the world alight, with many complaining that low frames-per-second (FPS) forces them to play the game less than they might.

Thankfully, with Warzone Mobile's closed beta currently ongoing, we've learned of some encouraging signs that Activision's battle royale won't fall into the same trap.

Warzone Mobile Graphical Performance Is Looking Impressive

In the last few hours, a number of reports have emerged on Twitter, revealing how the current build of Warzone Mobile is running on Snapdragon CPUs, commonly seen in Samsung and Oppo, among many other, Android smartphones.

According to Warzone Mobile Leakers On Duty, the game runs at 30 fps on the Snapdragon 732G, a 2020-era chip seen in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro and Motorola Moto G60.

The frames jump up when it is played on the Snapdragon 855, a chip seen in the OnePlus 7 and Samsung Galaxy S10. The game reportedly runs at 50-60 fps when using this CPU.

Then at the highest end of smartphone CPUs, the Snapdragon 860/5, which supports 16GB of RAM, the game reportedly runs at a buttery smooth 60 fps. Smartphones with this CPU include the Samsung Galaxy S20 (at least in the US), the OnePlus 8, and Xiaomi Mi 10 5G.

These figures tie up nicely with the previously leaked system requirements, which state that - at a minimum - your Android device should have 4GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 730G while recommending 6GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 865.

This is great news for Android gamers, and with the game still in beta, more optimizations are hopefully on the way.

But what about Apple devices? Well, there isn't much news coming out from those devices; by and large, the gaming performance on Apple devices outstrips Android, helped by the fixed specifications of Apple's closed ecosystem.

In more good news, it won't be long until we get some official news about Warzone Mobile, as it is set to get a full unveiling at the COD NEXT event on Thursday (September 15), with gameplay footage and a release date rumored to be unveiled.
