Genshin Impact 4.1 is technically right around the corner, so here's a look at its release date, upcoming characters, banners, map changes, and weapons.
It feels like just last week that Genshin Impact released a new update. Fans are still thirsty for more leaks and rumors, and as the tradition goes, there are a ton of leaks and rumors to unpack for the game.
In this article, we are going to go over everything that there is to know about the upcoming 4.1 update.
Genshin Impact 4.1 Release Date And Countdown
As per the 42 days per update format, the Genshin Impact 4.1 update is expected to be available on September 27, 2023.
- If you're looking to upgrade your gaming experience in Genshin Impact and other games, we recommend using a Razer Kishi mobile game controller .
That being said, here is a countdown for the version 4.1 update:
Genshin Impact 4.1 New Characters
Genshin Impact have officially teased two new characters who may be showing up in the upcoming update they're named Wriothesley and Neuvillette.
Wriothesley is a Cyro element Catalyst user who has been seen in leaks as being the game's first user who maybe doesn't use his weapon traditionally when he's attacking.
In a lot of the videos that have been leaked, Wriothesley has been seen punching and using his fists like a boxer of some sort.

Neuvillette is a Hydro Element Catalyst user that seems to be, from all of the leaks that have been seen so far.
He plays similarly to a very powerful man in all of the footage. He floats around the battlefield and charges some amazingly powerful attacks.

Genshin Impact 4.1 Banners
Thanks to Hoyoverse's drip marketing, we know that Neuvillette and Wriothesley's character event wish banners will be arriving with the Genshin Impact 4.1 update.
Apart from that, we can expect to see the likes of Venti, Albedo, Raiden, Itto, and Nahida as re-run banners.
The reason why fans are expecting to see these five characters is because they haven't been in any of the game's banners in a while now.
It would be nice to see these very popular and strong characters show up again in the game alongside the two new characters apart of the cast.
Genshin Impact 4.1 New Bosses
There are currently two bosses that we can come to expect in the new update. One of the characters has the look of a huge mecha automaton, and the other looks like that of a bird.
The mecha boss is a gravity-altering opponent who supposedly has the ability to affect the whole field's gravitational pull.
A fight like this will probably be very good for teams focused on using Xiao or Childe.
Now for the bird-looking guy, we haven't had any concrete leaks yet, but we do know what he looks like, at least!
Genshin Impact 4.1 New Maps
From what we know currently from the leaks, there is going to be a new underground area added to the game that probably takes place somewhere between Liyue and Mondstadt on the map.
Now, looking at how the map is now, an assumption could be it's in one of the many black areas on the map.
The name of the new area is the Fortress of Meropide and the current rumor is that it's going to be the biggest piece of underground content added to the game since 3.0 came out.
Genshin Impact 4.1 New Weapons
We don't specifically have the names of the new weapons that are coming out in this update, but we do know what their main stats are going to be.
The event weapon being added is a %HP sword. On top of this, we can expect to see the two new characters, Wriothesley and Neuvillette's weapons as well.
