While exploring the underwater area around the Waterfall Wen domain in Genshin Impact, you will come across an Energy Flow related puzzle that you must solve and proceed further.
Once you enter the enclosed area, you will find yourself near a terminal where you must use a Special Key to access a locked room with a mechanism to change the Energy Flow.

How To Get Special Key In Genshin Impact
In Genshin Impact, you can get the Special Key from the window found on the left side of the first room that you enter after solving the first Energy Flow puzzle.
We have marked the Special Key's location in the above map screenshot and shared the directions below:
Sadly, you cannot access the window as it has a hydro barrier. To reach the key's location, proceed inside the dungeon until you reach the terminal where you get the prompt to use the Special Key.
Drop down and keep moving forward until you find another Energy Flow mechanism.
Turn left from there and make your way to the end of the room until you reach a lift. Take it to reach the first floor.
Once you are on the first floor, go to the end of the room, and you will find the Special Key.
Grab the Special Key! That's it. You found the key required to open the gates to the locked room with the Energy Flow mechanism.
How To Use The Special Key In Genshin Impact
You can use the Special Key to open the gates to the locked room, as shown in the above screenshot.
Apart from that, we haven't found any other use of the Special Key in Genshin Impact.
