Genshin Impact Xianyun Character Kit: Rarity, Element, Abilities, Constellations, Talents & Release Date

The quest-exclusive NPC and one of the adeptus of Liyue, Cloud Retainer, who has been long teased as a potential playable character in Genshin Impact, has been finally officially revealed by Hoyoverse as a playable unit named Xianyun.

As you may already know, Xianyun is Cloud Retainer's alias that she uses for her human form and the name that we will be referring to from now on.

Xianyun is the next five-star unit that will be joining the playable characters roster alongside another new unit named Gaming.

In the past few months, we have been getting new leaks on Xianyun's character kit, and now, after her official reveal, we finally have some conclusive details on her abilities and Constellations.

Xianyun's Rarity, Element & Weapon Of Choice

Xianyun is a five-star character in Genshin Impact with the Anemo vision. This has been leaked months ago and was confirmed with her official announcement.

Now, as for her weapon of choice, there have been no viable details available, but we do have some leaks that suggest she will be a Catalyst user. However, keep in mind that this is subject to change.

Xianyun's Elemental Skill, Elemental Burst & Normal Attack Abilities

Normal Attack

There are no details on Normal Attack currently available.

Elemental Skill

Xianyun releases the wind domain, allowing her to perform a plunging attack three times.

Elemental Burst

Nearby characters gain enhanced jumping ability, "Climbing the Dragon," providing an instant burst of healing to the entire team.

Subsequently, it offers sustained healing and boosts the damage of the converted Elemental Skill (scaling factor). It can be converted up to six times.

When Is Xianyun Releasing In Genshin Impact

Xianyun will release during the Genshin Impact 4.4 update that will go live on January 31, 2024.

At the moment, Hoyoverse has not yet confirmed whether her banner will be available during the first or second half of the update.

But, based on leaks and the past trends, we are expecting Xianyun's to arrive in the first half, making her banner's release date align with the update's release.
