The new Genshin Impact 3.4 update has many new and exciting quests. One of them happens to be an exciting treasure hunt for chess pieces.

To complete this quest line you will need to find five chess pieces.

But before you can do that you need to complete four prerequisite quests, Dune-Entombed Fecundity Part I-III, The Falcon's Hunt, and The Temple Where Sand Flows Like Tears.

Once you complete those, you can then collect the five chess pieces that are needed to unlock the new World Quest, Apocalypse Lost: Memories of Gurabad. Without spoiling anything for those behind, the story potential in this new quest is huge. Below, we show you where to find the chess pieces.

The first chess piece is located within the Temple of Gurabad. It can be obtained during the Falcon's Hunt quest as well.

All you need to do is enter the cave and the chest will be directly in front of you. This is the easiest chess peace to obtain by far.

Make your way to the teleport outside of the cave and follow the highlighted path above. If you have already been inside the cave either of the ones inside there will work to get you the chess piece.

You can find the Khaj-Nisut piece inside the two run down Ruin Golems on the far west side of Sumeru. This will become accessible after you complete the Dune-Entombed Fecundity: Part III quest.

Make your way to the cave entrance through the left arm of the destroyed mech and once on solid ground you will find the chest there, it will be unmarked but it's pretty easy to spot.

The location to the cave which holds Liloupar's Cell is located in the ruins of Safhe Shatranj. Once inside the cave, follow the path above, and at the location where you met the Jinni, there will be a chest containing the chess piece.
