Version 3.4 is the latest update to land in Genshin Impact. Titled 'The Exquisit Night Chimes', it will celebrate the annual Lantern Rite Festival with various pageantries and in-game content.

This update is the first for the game in 2023 and will bring in new additions such as characters, weapons, banners, events, skins, codes, and more.

It'll be a time like no other in the game as the combination of the yearly festivities and novel content will surely make for an explosive start to the new year in Genshin Impact. Here's an overview of everything that's coming to the game in the version 3.4 update.

Genshin Impact Version 3.4 - Release Date

The release date of the version 3.4 update in Genshin Impact is January 18, 2023.

As always, a maintenance period will be held during the update itself and you will be entitled to a Primogem compensation if you were affected by it.

Alhaitham and Yaoyao are the two new characters that are coming to Genshin Impact in the version 3.4 update.

Alhaitham is a five-star Anemo character who uses a Sword as their main weapon. He's a brilliant man that is currently serving as the scribe of the Sumeru Akademiya. Alhaitham will be available in the'Caution in Confidence' event wish.

Yaoyao is a four-star Dendro character who uses a Polearm as their main weapon. She is a warm-hearted, talented, and considerate character who's beloved by the Adepti. Yaoyao will be available in the 'Caution in Confidence' and 'Invitation to Mundane Life' event wish.

'Light of Foliar Incision' is the new five-star sword weapon arriving in Genshin Impact. When equipped, the CRIT Rate is increased by 4%. After Normal Attacks deal Elemental DMG, the Foliar Incision effect will be obtained, increasing DMG dealt by Normal Attacks and Elemental Skills by 120% of Elemental Mastery. This effect will disappear after 28 DMG instances or 12 seconds. You can obtain Foliar Incision once every 12 seconds.

Genshin Impact Version 3.4 - Event Wish

Six event wishes will be taking place in Genshin Impact after the version 3.4 update. These include new banners and reruns of previous ones. Here's an overview of all the event wishes:

Keep in mind that there will also be two new Epitome Invocation event wishes. One will be held in the first phase of the version 3.4 update, while the other will take place in the second phase.

Two new outfits are coming to Genshin Impact to celebrate the festive occasion: 'Springbloom Missive' Kamisato Ayaka and 'A Sobriquet Under Shade' Lisa.

You can get the 'Springbloom Missive' outfit by purchasing it for 1,680 Genesis Crystals. A discounted price of 1,350 Genesis Crystals will be offered between the release of the version 3.4 update (January 18) and February 27.
