The popular free-to-play battle royale has seen some pretty epic collaborations in the past that have delivered

incredible content to the game. From Godzilla wreaking havoc to League of Legends character skins, the devs sure know how to make a game that encompasses all that the community could ever ask for.

But, there still has been a small feature that the community would like to see more of in PUBG: Mobile. It's boss fights. Here's what the devs had to say about it...

More Boss Fights Coming To PUBG: Mobile

In a recent "Meet the Developers" session, PUBG devs were asked if there would be more PvE boss fights similar to the one found in the recent Spider-Man mode. This was their answer:

I'm sure everyone loves to fight boss villains! Therefore, we believe that there'll be more PvE content released in subsequent themed modes. So be sure to challenge them.

So that's a yes, the devs have confirmed that there will be more boss fights in store for us in PUBG: Mobile.

You can argue that this doesn't fit in line with the essence of the game as it's naturally a PvP game, but we'd argue that different game modes make the game more interesting and adds a different dimension to the already over-saturated battle royale genre.

What To Expect

In the past, there have been a couple of PvE-like boss fights. We've seen this in the Spider-Man and Resident Evil 2 crossovers.

The most recent collaboration in PUBG: Mobile was with Spider-Man. Players team up with the famous web shooter to fight weird monsters. On top of that, players can also challenge and defeat the mysterious Metal Boss in order to get advanced supplies that would help significantly in battle.

Besides that, in 2019, a Resident Evil 2 collaboration saw a zombie mode introduced to the game. Players were forced to survive a night of horror and evil. The only hope was for players to unite and fight off zombies and famous Resident Evil characters like the Licker, G, and the horrific Tyrant AKA Mr. X.

The devs have shown that the sky's the limit with collaborations as they have worked with other games, such as Warframe, and animes Haruhi Suzumiya and Jujutsu Kaisen. If were are being honest, future themed modes could take inspiration from a variety of other games and films / TV shows. Time will only tell what they have planned for us.

Until then, there's still a lot of great content available for players to sink their teeth into, especially with the recent Pass Royale hitting the game:
