Making sure you have the best gun in PUBG Mobile is one of the best things you can do to earn those all-important chicken dinners. We break down the best weapons, so you are never caught guessing.
PUBG Mobile is a fan-favorite title for many mobile gamers and it has seen quite a few changes since we all dropped into Erangel for the first time.
But just because you were getting regular chicken dinners back in '20 doesn't mean you can jump in and dominate once again. Things have changed, and no more so than the game's weapons which are frequently added to, buffed, and nerfed.
So, whether you are a new or returning player, it helps to know what the best guns are in PUBG Mobile.
Best Weapons In PUBG Mobile
Before we dive into our selection of the best weapons it is worth familiarising ourselves with the different weapon classes present in the game and their roles.
It is all well and good lugging around a monster of a light-machine gun but if your preference is to duck-and-weave, get up close, and blast away with a shotgun, then it is better you know that before going in.
So, with that being said, PUBG Mobile has nine weapon categories, with two of them being melee and the crossbow - for the sake of this best gun/weapon list, we are choosing to ignore those.
That means we will be taking a look at the best pistols, submachine guns, assault rifles, light machine guns, designated marksman rifles, and sniper rifles.
Now, while we are considering all these weapon classes that doesn't mean each will be represented in our best guns list, as we are going to name the top ten weapons in the game regardless of class.
10) M1014
The civilian version of the Benelli M4 Super 90 - this semi-auto shotgun packs a serious punch. Using 12 Guage ammo, its range is as far as 50m, and it is capable of downing opponents in two shots with higher base damage than the similar S12K.
In fact, it beats the S12K across a range of stats, including bullet speed, bullet penetration, and rate of fire. The only downside is the M1014 accepts fewer attachments, with players only able to equip a choke and bullet loop. But honestly, a shotgun is a shotgun; where it matters, this thing smacks.
One thing to mention though, it is only available on Livik.
9) Micro UZI
The UZI SMG has the highest damage output per second of any gun in the game, thanks in large part to its high RPM and relatively large magazine.
There are few more terrifying frights than facing this down under 30m due to its potential to melt you.
Thankfully, you too can wield the UZI, and with several possible attachments that act as suppressors, increase the magazine capacity, and improve the recoil, there is plenty of scope for customization.
This gun is available on all maps of the game.
8) Mosin Nagant / Karabiner 98 Kurz
These two bolt-action snipers, one Russian, and the other German, both have identical stats, and so there is really no difference at all except the model and the sound when firing. Both deliver huge damage with a headshot by either likely being a killer blow. Both use 7.62mm ammo and can use the same attachments.
They are, of course, slow firing owing to their bolt-action mechanics, but that shouldn't be a major issue if you choose to run with them as your playstyle will tend towards engaging at range. Just make sure you get a nice scope on it, like the 8x CQBSS.
7) AKM
The AKM is the hardest-hitting of all the assault rifles and a genuinely monstrous gun in the right hands. Capable of single- or auto-fire, its fast fire rate and high damage output make it a favorite of experienced players who have learned to control the gun's kickback.
Make sure you get a decent 2x or 3x scope and Compensator muzzle for this, and you will be good to go.
6) AUG A3
The AUG A3 is one of the most beautifully crafted weapons in the game, its high magazine capacity and low recoil make it a breeze to fire, and its damage output is one of the best in its class. Its bullet spray pattern can take a bit of getting used to because, while the bullet velocity is quicker, the bullets drop quickly, meaning you have to aim higher than you would do with another assault rifle.
Its one major drawback is its reload speed, so make sure you get a Quick or Extended Quick Mag on this. Take note, though, that the AUG is only available through care packages.
5) AWM
The AWM is the second sniper (or third I guess) on this list, and it is the best in the game. Only found in airdrops, the AWM or Accuracy International Arctic Warfare Magnum is as impressive a bolt-action sniper as it sounds.
When this gun lands a shot, it lands, though you must be accurate. The gun's reloading and rechambering speed is slow, so if you aren't comfortable with your aim, stay clear. If you are? Line them up.
It goes without saying that a nice big scope is the way to go with this, and we would also suggest an Extended Mag and Suppressor.
4) P90
Another Livik-only weapon is the P90. This high-capacity (its standard mag is 50 rounds), fast-firing SMG can lay down some serious firepower.
Its 9mm ammo also means you will never struggle to find ammunition, and there is hardly enough recoil for it to be worth mentioning.
Unlike similar damage output SMGs, like the Uzi and Vector, the P90 can take 4x and 6x scopes, giving you a greater degree of flexibility on the battlefield.
3) UMP45
The only SMG that beats out the P90 is the UMP45. This highly versatile SMG can take a vast array of attachments, with players able to customize the weapon to their needs.
Its damage output is only behind the Tommy Gun in the SMG class with it having much less recoil than that WW2-era gun. A foregrip will further reduce it, leaving you with a very stable, high-damage output weapon with maximum mobility.
Add a silencer or compensator based on your preferences and this gun can win you any game of PUBG Mobile.
2) DP-28
It might seem a strange choice, but while the DP-28 isn't the most aesthetically pleasing weapon, it is highly effective. A low-recoil and high-damage light machine gun, the DP-28 is great for those all-important room clearances, and the ability to add a scope to it, as well as use its bipod, makes it viable at short, medium, and long ranges.
Need to clear a room? Push in and start firing, and don't stop. Need to take someone out at range? Drop down, bipod out, and zoom in. Job done.
1) M416
Could any other weapon take the top spot? Not really. The M416 is PUBG. This highly versatile assault rifle is all things to all people and is highly effective in short-, medium-, and long-range combat.
Low recoil, high damage output, and a barrel load (sorry) of attachments to customize to your needs make it the undisputed king of PUBG Mobile.
