Patch 3.5 will be introducing five new runes and items to Wild Rift. Here's a guide on all of them.
Patch 3.5 is a huge new game update slated to land in Wild Rift on November 17. Amongst the new additions to the game are three champions, adjustments that will make Jungling easier, a game mode, events, a Wild Pass, and champion skins.
As customary with every major patch, we'll also be seeing the introduction of several new items and runes - and changes to the current lineup - to Wild Rift. In patch 3.5, there will be five altogether: Horizon Focus, Lord Dominik's Regards, Awakened Soulstealer, Phase Rush, and Sudden Impact.
Let's take a look at them and their abilities.
Wild Rift Patch 3.5 New Item - Horizon Focus
Horizon Focus is a new item that is perfect for mages who want more item options and choices for their build paths.
This item's passive, Hypershot, will apply one stack when you hit a champion with skill shots from distance. Immobilizing a champion, AKA hitting your crowd control abilities, will grant you two stacks.
If you gain enough stacks, you can consume them to deal bonus damage to enemies.
Here's this item in detail:
- Total Cost: 2,800 gold
- Ability Power: 80
- Health: 150
- Haste: 15
- Hypershot - passive: When a non-targeted ability hits a champion at least 500 range away, it applies one stack, and when you immobilize a champion, add 2 stacks. Stacks last for 5 seconds. After reaching 3 stacks, consume the stacks to deal 80 + 20% Ability Power magic damage and apply another stack
Wild Rift Patch 3.5 New Item - Lord Dominik's Regards
Lord Dominik's Regards is a new attack damage item. The devs believed that the previous penetration options for marksmen can lead to awkward build paths so they're adding this item to alleviate this issue.
With Lord Dominik's Regards' passive - Adrenaline - after you're out of combat with other champions for a few seconds, your first attack against an enemy champion will have increased attack speed.
Here is this item in detail:
- Total cost: 3,100 gold
- Attack Damage: 35
- Crit chance: 25%
- Last Whisper - passive: 16 - 30 % armor penetration
- Adrenaline - passive: Your first attack on a champion after being out of combat with champions has 80% increased Attack Speed
Wild Rift Patch 3.5 New Item - Awakened Soulstealer
Awakened Soulstealer was reworked in patch 3.5. Riot wanted it to be geared toward players who play aggressively and snowball their leads.
That being said, Awakened Soulstealer received two new passives in patch 3.5. The first passive is Soulflare. When this item is equipped, takedowns on enemy champions within three seconds of dealing damage to them will reduce the cooldown on all your abilities - including your ultimate by 20%.
The other passive, Death Touch, will grant you 15 magic penetration. This will be an ideal item for mages or assassins who like to deal massive bursts of damage.
Here is this item in detail:
- Total cost: 3,000 gold
- Ability Power: 65
- Haste: 20
- Health: 150
- Death Touch - passive: 15 magic penetration
- Soulflare - passive: Takedowns on enemy champions within 3 seconds of dealing damage to them reduce the remaining cooldowns of your abilities (including ultimates) by 20%
- Soulcharged removed
Wild Rift Patch 3.5 New Rune - Phase Rush
Phase Rush was updated in patch 3.5. It will allow you to run and cast fast. When you hit a champion with three separate attacks or abilities within a few seconds, you'll gain a burst of movement speed and slight ability haste for a short period. Your current cooldowns will also be reduced.
Riot wanted to give mages another rune option besides Electrocute and Summon Aery that they can use to provide them with extra utility other than bonus damage.
This is the rune effect in detail: Gain 20 bonus movement speed in the river. When in the river while out of combat, restore 0.6% missing health or 0.6% missing mana (based on the lowest value) every 1 second and gain an additional 10 bonus movement speed.
Wild Rift Patch 3.5 New Rune - Sudden Impact
Sudden Impact is a new rune that replaced the Champion rune. It will grant you adaptive penetration when you exit stealth or use a dash, blink, or teleport to deal damage to an enemy champion. It's a great pick for assassins or ADCs.
This is the rune effect in detail: After exiting stealth or using a dash, leap, blink or teleport effect, damaging an enemy champion grants 10 Armor Penetration and 10 Magic penetration for 3 seconds (4-second cooldown).
