A new month in Brawl Stars means a whole new batch of balance changes. As usual, these are meant to readjust the power levels of certain overperforming and underperforming brawlers in the current meta

In January, Supercell decided to target only a handful of brawlers. Understandably, more updates have been released in Brawl Stars recently in addition to these changes, with Chroma Credits, the Chromatic Shop, and seasons having been overhauled this month.

But with that said, here's a complete overview of the most recent Brawl Stars balance changes.

This month's balance changes only contain buffs and nerfs, with all brawlers spared from a rework.

In terms of buffs, Buzz, Darryl, Rico, and Surge saw slight increases in their base stats. Meanwhile, the brawlers affected by nerfs are Bo, Rosa, and – of course – Kit. The catlike brawler has only been recently introduced to Brawl Stars and already has caused quite a storm, so a nerf was certainly to be expected.

Here are the January 2024 balance changes in detail:

BrawlerBalance Changes
Bo
  • Reduced base damage from 700 → 640
  • Increased number of projectiles needed for Super from 8 → 9
Buzz
  • Increased HP from 4,400 → 4,800
Darryl
  • Increased base attack projectile speed from 3,044 → 4,000
Kit
  • Decreased throwing attack damage when attached to friendly players from 2,000 → 1,600
  • Fixed the issue with the Super charge rate scaling with Power Cubes when attached to enemies
  • Fixed the issue with "Cardboard box" still charging the Super at a faster rate when moving
  • Fixed the issue where Kit could use his Super again if he detaches from a friendly player before the current Super is completely drained
  • Kit can no longer attach to recently spawned Brawlers
  • Kit can now be damaged while attached to enemy players
Rico
  • Increased Super damage from 320 → 360
  • Increased Super charge gained from Super damage
Rosa
  • Decreased Super charge from 97 → 75 (3 → 4 ammo for Super)
Surge
  • Increased base HP from 3,000 → 3,300

You can expect to see the next Brawl Stars balance changes to be released in February 2024.
