In Season 21, Brawl Stars saw the arrival of one of the most unique Chromatic brawlers that the game has ever seen - Charlie.
She is the resident caretaker and entertainer at one of the Starr Park's areas, the Bizarre Circus. There, Charlie learned impressive tricks and was eventually discovered by the local circus where she remains today.
Charlie is a Controller brawler who, as the name suggests, aims to control specific areas of the map with their AoE abilities. They are best suited for game modes like Hot Zone or Heist. Though not extremely powerful on her own, Charlie will shine as part of a team.
As she is still not available in the game yet, we have sorted through her abilities and come to a conclusion on the best way you can use her. With that in mind, here is everything you need to know about Charlie in Brawl Stars.
How To Unlock Charlie In Brawl Stars
You can get Charlie as a reward by reaching Tier 30 in Season 21's Brawl Pass.
As she is a Chromatic brawler, you will also be able to obtain Charlie at the Chromatic Shop after Season 21 ends. You can purchase her for 1,250 Chroma Credits or 349 Gems.
How To Use Charlie In Brawl Stars
Charlie's main attack sees her throw her yo-yo forward, damaging the first enemy hit before returning back to her. With this style of attack, this means that the closer the enemy target, the faster her attacks will be.
With Charlie's Super, she will throw a bundle of hair wrapping that will trap an enemy in a cocoon upon hit. They will be disabled and cannot do anything until the cocoon is destroyed.
The cocoon itself will have a set HP which will deplete over some time. Allies can help destroy it faster by attacking it.
Charlie's Hypercharge, known as Pestilence, allows her cocoon to spawn three spiders that attack nearby enemies.
As is the norm with other brawlers, Charlie has two Gadgets and two Star Powers. These are:
- Spiders (Gadget): Charlie releases three spiders that seek and attack the nearest enemies
- Personal Space (Gadget): Charlie cocoons herself, healing 50% of her total health
- Digestive (Star Power): Cocooned enemies lose 50% of their health while cocooned
- Slimy (Star Power): Cocoon leaves a slimy trail behind it for 5 seconds that slows down enemies walking over it
Charlie has no unique Gear at her disposal.
Given all this, it is easy to see that Charlie is unlike any other brawler in the game. With her skillset, she will excel as a Support or Controller and can often provide damage dealers with the tools needed to unlock their potential.
To counter Charlie, it is best to use Assassin brawlers like Leon. Alternatively, you can make use of Marksmen and Artillery brawlers like Piper or Grom to eliminate Charlie from a distance.
