Brawl Stars May 2023 Patch Notes: All Balance Changes

Here's a look at all the balance changes that will be introduced to Brawl Stars in the May 2023 patch.

Swiftly after the release of Season 18 - Rumble Jungle - in Brawl Stars, the devs have released a fresh set of balance changes that buffed and nerfed some of your favorite (or not so favorite) brawlers in the game.

It comes hot off the heels after the introduction of the new Chromatic brawler Maisie, three new Gears, and sweeping balance changes that were added during the season's launch.

That being said, we know you want to see which brawlers have been affected. So, here are all the balance changes that have landed in Brawl Stars in the May 2023 patch.

Only two brawlers were buffed in the May balance changes: Chester and Mr. P. Meanwhile, Bea, Penny, Amber, Meg, Janet, and Grom were the nerfed brawlers.

Vision Gear was the only non-brawler item to be nerfed.

Here's a look at the balance changes in detail:

  • Sticky Oil Gear slow amount decreased from 20% to 10%
Bea
  • Charged shot damage multiplier decreased from 275% to 250% (3,300 to 3,000 damage at Power Level 11)
Chester
  • Base HP increased from 3,300 to 3,500
Grom
  • Bse HP decreased from 3,000 to 2,800
Janet
  • Base HP decreased from 3,400 to 3,200
Meg
  • Force Field (Star Power) shield damage reduction decreased from 35% to 25%
  • Force Field (Star Power) shield time decreased from 30 seconds to 10 seconds
Mr. P
  • Base HP increased from 3,000 to 3,400
Penny
  • Base HP decreased from 3,600 to 3,400
Vision Gear
  • No longer reveals targets that are invisible from skills (Leon Gadget, Super / Sandy Super)
