Everyone knows that Clash of Clans is all about joining a clan, attacking in wars, and climbing to the top of the leaderboards. But, there's something you clashing journey starts with: a username.
Now, if you are like many Clash of Clans veterans out there or you are new to the game, then there might be a time when you come to realize that you want to change your name.
Lucky for you, there's a way to do just that. Here is how you can change your name in Clash of Clans.
How To Change Your Clash of Clans Name
Changing your nickname in Clash of Clans is easy and can be done from in-game, simply follow these instructions:
- Open the in-game Settings (bottom right above the Shop button).
- Select More Settings (bottom right corner).
- Choose Change Name from the options available.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to change your Clash of Clans name.
Tips To Remember When Changing Your Name
Each player can only change their for free once. After making the first free name change, changes will cost Gems. Starting at 500 Gems, the price for subsequent changes will increase so choose your name wisely! Avoid using special characters and emojis as those will disappear once you save your new name.
Also, keep in mind that Supercell reserves the right to change any names, so avoid including profanities or insults in your newly minted name. That is, unless you want to wake the next day finding your name changed to something else.

Finally, Supercell will not change your name upon request. All name changes need to be done manually in the application itself.
