EA has officially confirmed that 'EA Sports FC' will be the new title of their beloved soccer franchise. Now, this rebranding will have a massive knockback effect on its mobile spinoff.

A completely new version of the game, called EA Sports FC Mobile, will be launched as an update to FIFA Mobile in the app stores. This launch means that you will not have to download a new game on your phone and start from scratch.

With this shake-up, it's only natural that the next question most players have in mind is when they can expect the game to launch. To answer your question, it's expected that EA Sports FC Mobile will be released in late September 2023.

Besides a new name, EA Sports FC Mobile will boast various new features. As was previously leaked, this includes the usual changes such as an overhaul of the UI, an update to the team's rosters, and a complete rebranding with the game's new name.

Besides this, there are core gameplay changes. The biggest of them all is a card pack generating tool, custom tournaments, and a shot refractor that'll greatly improve the on-pitch experience.

Several cosmetic changes are inbound too. We'll see better pitch graphics, improved stadium renders, a new camera POV, sideline ad boards, and expanded weather effects that include rain and fog.

  • If you're feeling nostalgic about EA dropping the FIFA name, you can get yourself the last game in the historic franchise, FIFA 23 on the PS4 , to relive all the memories.

All of this sounds incredibly promising, but we haven't seen them in full action yet. It's unclear when EA plans on revealing an in-depth look at EA Sports FC Mobile. However, we can hope that they will do so the closer we approach the expected September release date.
