XDefiant is a free-to-play arena FPS game that everybody seems to be talking about lately. Developed by Ubisoft under the "Tom Clancy" brand name, it's set to feature fast-paced 4v4 and 6v6 action in classic game modes like Domination, Team Deathmatch, and more.

It's essentially a throwback no-nonsense shooter that cuts through the wave of battle royale games we've had in recent times.

With its gaining popularity, Ubisoft is set to release XDefiant on major platforms such as PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and Amazon Luna. But, there is still one more platform that many fans are hoping to see the game on - mobile.

At the time of writing, there are no plans for XDefiant to be released on mobile.

However, there's still hope that a mobile port for the game will be released in the future. Ubisoft is currently developing another Tom Clancy title in the form of The Division Resurgence. It's expected to be released to app stores soon. Once it's launched, it could free up resources for a potential 'XDefiant Mobile.'

Besides this, Ubisoft is in the advanced stages of bringing Rainbow Six Mobile to life. It's also rumored that the first mobile installment of the Assassin's Creed franchise is in the works under the codename 'Assassin's Creed Project Jade.'

All this is to say that Ubisoft is heavily invested in the mobile gaming scene, so XDefiant is definitely a possibility. But, if it ever comes to mobile, we could see several features be cut as mobile software and hardware is incomparable to other major platforms.
