It has been known for a while now that Riot's tactical shooter was coming to mobile devices, and it is now in the early testing stages with leaks showing a working version that some gamers in China have already got their hands on.

Valorant Mobile's Expected Release Date
Valorant Mobile is expected to be released in 2025. Riot revealed earlier this year that the game's development was going slower than expected.
It is rumored that Riot will be replacing Tencent Games as the lead developer of Valorant Mobile. This means that Riot will be scrapping all previous development work done by Tencent and will be developing Valorant Mobile from scratch.
To make matters slightly worse, Riot recently announced layoffs at the company which has led many hopeful Valorant Mobile players to fear that the development of the game has either been halted or hindered.
Despite this, we know that the game is in an advanced stage thanks to gameplay leaks that reportedly came out of China.
Valorant Mobile Leaks Show Cross-Play, Cross-Progression & Other Features
Several gameplay videos and screenshots have leaked, reportedly from a closed Chinese beta test, showing the agent select screen and the Ascent and Bind maps. It looks like a faithful 1:1 remake of the mainline game with 5v5 round-based combat with all the agents and purchase system present in Valorant PC.
Besides this, a reputable leaker revealed that Valorant Mobile will have both cross-play and cross-progression. Cross-play means that you'll be able to play matches with players on different consoles. Cross-progression makes it so that your in-game progress and items on Valorant PC will be available on your account in Valorant Mobile.
Upcoming Valorant Mobile Beta Tests
The chances of Valorant Mobile getting an open beta are high. Wild Rift — the mobile version of Riot's popular MOBA title, League of Legends — also got a similar treatment, and it is standard for most major mobile games for there to be a beta period followed by a global launch.
However, there is still a big question mark about when a beta will be released. Leaks have revealed that a beta could be coming soon as critical beta files were discovered in a recent test build.
This beta may be relevant to a prototype version of Valorant Mobile that Anna Donlon, the development team lead for Valorant, had previously confirmed to exist. However, she went on to state that its quality was not up to Riot's standard so they are holding it from an official release until they are satisfied with its progress.
Will Valorant Mobile Have Controller Support?
Whether Valorant gets controller support or not isn't yet clear but it does pose an interesting design choice. Controllers usually necessitate the need for aim assist, and without that, players would struggle to compete.
