A new Marvel Snap patch was released at the end of January. Here's a look at all the details and balance changes.
Just before the start of a new season, the Marvel Snap devs have released a quick patch to resolve some minor imbalances in the gameplay. This saw a couple of balance changes hit cards, such as Leader and Wolverine.
Besides this, there were a few additional changes. Zabu has been moved from a Season Pass exclusive to become a Series 5 card in the Token Shop. On top of this, you'll now be able to change your in-game name every 30 days.
A new game mode was also added to Marvel Snap - the highly-anticipated 'Friendly Battle'. You will now be able to play 1v1 battles against friends.
But let's not get too ahead of ourselves. There are a couple of balance changes you'll need to know about as they're going to shake up a few decks.
Marvel Snap January 31 Patch - All Balance Changes
Only two cards received balance changes in the January 31 patch: Leader and Wolverine.
Before this patch, Leader was an overpowered 'finisher' card that could win you matches in even the most unlikely of circumstances. Following this patch, Leader got a stat buff, and his controversial ability has been changed completely.
Wolverine, according to the devs, sees no play at the moment. So, they've reworked his ability to allow him to gain a buff when he is destroyed or discarded. It's a massive improvement that will undoubtedly make him a solid inclusion in decks.
Here are the balance changes in detail:
