Honkai Star Rail offers a wide roster of fully-voiced playable characters and others that you will fall in love with while playing the game. On that note, since Honkai Star Rail was inspired by Persona, which features a romance system where you can even go on a date with other characters, many were wondering if the same is true for HSR.

Is There Romance In Honkai Star Rail?
When writing this guide, there is no romance system in Honkai Star Rail. While the game offers well-curated characters and NPCs, we don't have a romance system where players can go on dates, give gifts or indulge in other activities.
While it is a shame that Honkai Star Rail lacks a romance system because there was so much that Hoyoverse could have done by implementing one.
The romance system in the game would not only have helped build up the story, making the side characters more flushed out by exploring their backstory, learning more about them, and more, but it also could have created a bond between the characters and the community.

Is There A Bond System In Honkai Star Rail?
No! Unlike Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd, Honkai Star Rail does not even features a bond system. There is no bonding with your team whatsoever.
While Genshin Impact cleverly implemented the bond system as a progression mechanic for unlocking new companion dialogues and backstories, Honkai Star Rail lacks the said feature.
