After being initially announced during the E3 2018, Starfield, one of the newest Bethesda Game Studios and Todd Howard's creation, has been in the news for both good and bad reasons.

For players who don't know, Starfield is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios. In short, it is Bethesda and Todd Howard's version of No Man's Sky that shares similar feels to games like Fallout, Outerworld, and other titles.

With the game recently making its appearance in the Xbox Show during the Summer Game Fest, many of the game's enthusiasts have been wondering if they can play Starfield on the go on Android or iOS devices.

Is Starfield Coming To Mobile?

No. Starfield is not coming to the mobile platform as it is a PC and Xbox-exclusive title.

Moreover, there is no chance of the game being natively available on mobile because of hardware and other restrictions.

However that doesn't mean that you cannot play Starfield on mobile.

Update: There is no mobile port for Starfield.

Can You Play Starfield On The Android Platform?

Yes! You can play Starfield on your Android device upon its release using the Xbox Cloud Gaming feature offered via the Game Pass Ultimate service.

All you must do is install the Game Pass app on your device and make sure you meet the following requirements:

  • OS version
    • Android 6.0 or later
  • Bluetooth
    • Bluetooth 4.0 or later
  • Internet connection
    • 7 Mbps or higher
    • Connected to a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network (a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network will work but isn't currently optimized)
    • Mobile network connectivity is also available. See "Wi-Fi versus mobile" below.

Assuming you have a device that meets the following given requirements, the next and final step is to get a Game Pass Ultimate service.

Once you have the Game Pass Ultimate service, after Starfield releases, search for the game on your Game Pass app and start playing.

Can You Play Starfield On The iOS Platform?

Yes. Similar to the Android platform, you can play Starfield on your iOS device using the Xbox Cloud Gaming feature.

To set up cloud gaming and eventually play Starfield on your iOS platform, your device must meet the following requirements:

  • OS version
    • iOS 14.4 or later
  • Bluetooth
    • Bluetooth 4.0 or later
  • Internet connection
    • 10 Mbps or higher for iPhone, 20 Mbps or higher for iPad
    • Connected to a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network (a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network will work but isn't currently optimized)
    • Mobile network connectivity is also available. See "Wi-Fi versus mobile" below.

Similar to before, you must have a Game Pass Ultimate subscription to access and play Starfield on your iOS device.
